2023 Transition Schedule

Gmail/Calendar/Contacts Planned Group Transition - 2023:

1. OEC provisions @ucsd.edu Gmail/Calendar access

2. OEC initiates copy of email/calendar/contacts/tasks from @eng.ucsd.edu to @ucsd.edu account

3. On evening of cutover:

   1. OEC changes email routing so new email delivers to @ucsd.edu Google account

   2. OEC completes a final copy of data so @ucsd.edu account is up to date

   3. OEC renames @eng.ucsd.edu account to archive-username@eng.ucsd.edu

4. User now sends/receives email from @ucsd.edu Google account

5. For a period of time, the archive-username@eng.ucsd.edu account will remain in place to allow max amount of time to extract what you need from it

6. Last piece of the plan is to close / delete the archive-username@eng accounts, before Google starts charging for the data overage we currently have in the eng.ucsd.edu domain
